RUN YOUR OWN RESET / A COURSE, NOT A CONSULTANT

When it all lands on you.

The 90-day method I run with clients through The Thirty Co., written down in full with every tool, so you can run it yourself.

THE COURSE £195 WITH VIDEO WALKTHROUGHS £495 NINE MODULES . THIRTEEN WEEKS . EVERY TOOL

Everything routes through you. The strategy exists on paper and the week runs on firefighting. Your leadership team waits for your answer before anything moves, and growth has flattened while you put in more hours than anyone else in the building.

Pushing harder has not fixed it, because effort is not the problem. Focus is. No team can execute thirty priorities well, and most stalled businesses are asking theirs to.

Run Your Own Reset is the complete written edition of the method I run with clients. Five steps across ninety days. A clear read of where the business stands, taken from your own people and your own numbers. Two or three locked outcomes, and a stop list for everything else. Small system moves that remove friction where it hurts most. One accountable owner for every outcome, so the work stops routing back to you. And a weekly rhythm that holds it all in place without you chairing every conversation.

It is not a book about running a business. It is a working programme: nine modules, a little over 20,000 words, twelve fill-in templates and a ten-sheet spreadsheet workbook, in the order you run them, with exact interview questions, exact meeting agendas and exact announcement wording throughout. The hardest part to run yourself is the interviews, because people polish the truth for the person who signs their payslip. The question wording is built to survive that, and the guide covers what to do when the answers come back shiny.

Thirteen weeks from now you will have run the full cycle once: a baseline your leadership team has signed as true, two or three locked outcomes, a stop list, and a weekly meeting that produces decisions without you dragging it. Then a runbook for the cycle after that.

The interview guide from module one, free and unedited: the ten questions asked word for word, the exact opening promise, and what to listen for in every answer. Judge the standard before you spend anything. If it does not read like something you could use on Monday, keep your money.

FOR YOU IF

  • You own or run a business of roughly 20 to 200 people, and every decision still routes through you.
  • There is a strategy on paper, and the business does not run on it.
  • Growth has stalled, and the fix so far has been you working harder.
  • You would rather run the method yourself than hire someone to run it for you.

NOT FOR YOU IF

  • You have fewer than about ten staff. The method is heavier than you need at that size; fix your two biggest leaks by hand and come back when the team grows.
  • You want someone to run it for you. That is a full Reset with The Thirty Co., and the link at the foot of this page is where to start that conversation.
  • You want a strategy document rather than a change in how the business runs week to week. This will disappoint you.

    Start Here

Set up the reset properly: protect the weekly hour, choose your trusted second, and know exactly what the next thirteen weeks will ask of you.

  2. 01

Reality Check (Weeks 1 to 2)

Run 6 to 10 short interviews using the exact question wording provided, and produce a one-page summary of what your people and your numbers say, the Baseline Reality Pack, signed off by your leadership team as true.

  3. 02

Priority Lock I: Three Outcomes (Week 3)

Draft 5 to 7 candidate outcomes from your leak list and lock 2 or 3, each with one owner, weekly measures, and a written definition of done.

  4. 03

Priority Lock II: The Stop List (Week 4)

Take a full inventory of the work in your business, including the hidden favours, put every item on Stop, Park, or Continue, and set intake rules so the noise stays out.

  5. 04

System Build: The Moves (Weeks 5 to 8)

Choose 2 to 4 low-risk, high-friction fixes, write a one-page Move Card for each, and ship them in the live workflow with a before-and-after measure.

  6. 05

Team Grip: The Charter (Weeks 9 to 10)

Map one accountable owner to every outcome, resolve the overlaps and gaps in a 90-minute leadership session, and sign a charter the whole business hears about within 14 days.

  7. 06

Execution Rhythm: Hold the Line (Weeks 3 to 12)

Chair a 60-minute weekly meeting to a fixed five-part agenda, facts then decisions then blockers then commitments then intake, and keep a decision log so decisions stay made instead of being reopened every month.

  8. 07

    When It Wobbles

Spot the six ways resets fail, from scope creep to status theatre, and apply the specific fix for each before it takes hold.

  9. 08

    Week 13: The Next Cycle

Write a short runbook, hand the rhythm to the team, and draft the outcomes for your next ninety days.

Twelve templates and one workbook: the interview guide, the Baseline Reality Pack, the leak list, the 90-Day Targets Scorecard, the Stop/Start/Continue board, the intake rules, the Move Cards, the Team Grip Charter, the grip meeting agenda and notes, the decision log and the runbook, plus a ten-sheet spreadsheet workbook that holds working copies of all of them.

How do I know the method is any good before I pay?

Read the sample. The interview guide on this page is lifted straight from module one, unedited, and the other eight modules hold that standard. The method itself is distilled from fifteen years of running delivery programmes inside some of the UK's largest companies, and it is the same method The Thirty Co. runs with clients now. If the sample does not convince you, keep your £195.

How much time does it take each week?

Weeks 1 and 2 are the heaviest: 6 to 10 interviews of 30 to 45 minutes each, spread across the fortnight. After that, plan on the 60-minute weekly grip meeting, one 60 to 90 minute working session most weeks, and an hour or so of preparation. If you cannot protect the weekly hour, do not buy this yet.

How is this different from hiring The Thirty Co.?

Same method, same tools, different hands. In a full Reset we run the interviews, chair the sessions, and hold the rhythm with you, and that is priced from £24,000. Here you do the running, which is why it costs £195. The course does not pretend the hands are incidental: the modules tell you which parts are hardest to self-run and exactly how to compensate. And if you upgrade to a full Reset within 12 months, the course price is credited in full.

Do I need the videos?

No. The written course is complete on its own. The videos are for seeing how each step sounds when it is run well before you run it: how the interview opening lands, how the weekly meeting stays on its agenda. If you learn by watching, take the £495 edition. If you learn by reading and doing, £195 is enough.

What if it does not work for my business?

Work through it for 30 days. If it has not earned its price, one email gets you a refund, no questions.

How do I receive it?

Sent personally from my own inbox within 24 hours of payment confirming, usually much sooner. The course file works offline and prints cleanly, and the workbook opens in Excel or Google Sheets. You are buying from Raeburn Consulting Limited, the company behind The Thirty Co.

Can my ops manager run it instead of me?

They can run most of it, and in places they should: the interviews often go better when the owner is not the one asking. But the stop and park decisions in week 4 are yours, and the reset fails without them. Let your ops manager drive the mechanics while you make the calls only you can make.

Does it work outside services businesses?

Yes. The method works on how work flows through a business: demand, intake, delivery, handoff, billing. That holds for manufacturers, engineering firms, agencies and distributors alike. The worked examples are composites built from patterns I have seen repeatedly, not disguised clients: a fit-out contractor, an engineering firm, a services team. Every business in them is constructed, and the numbers are typical rather than lifted from anyone's accounts.

What happens after week 13?

You run the next cycle yourself. Week 13 has you write a short runbook and draft the outcomes for the following ninety days, so the rhythm carries on without the course open in front of you.

For some businesses the right call is a full Reset with The Thirty Co., where we run it with you. What you pay here comes off that price in full if you upgrade within twelve months.

But you do not need me in the room to start. The method is written down, the tools are built, and week one is a set of interviews you could book on Monday. £195, thirty days to prove itself, and one email gets your money back if it does not.
